# Prices and commission

> Know your margin before you quote.

## Check your commission

> What's my commission on that Celebrity sailing at 12%?

You get the commissionable fare per cabin grade. Where a cruise line doesn't report port charges, the estimate is clearly labelled as an estimate.

## Compare cabin grades and fares

> Show me all the cabin grades still available, with single and third-passenger fares.

## See how prices are moving

> How have Alaska prices moved over the last year?

Useful for telling a client whether to book now or wait.

## How prices work

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="All prices are GBP, per person">
    "From" prices are the lowest available fare for each cabin type on that sailing.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Nights, not days">
    Following UK trade practice, the assistant quotes nights. A 9-night cruise spans 10 days, including disembarkation day.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Prices are live, but they move">
    Fares come from current inventory at the moment you ask. **Always confirm price and availability with the cruise line before booking.**
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Filtering by budget">
    A budget filter matches sailings with at least one available fare in that range. The headline "from" price shown can sit outside your range, so check the grade you're actually quoting.

<Warning>
  If a price looks wrong, ask the assistant where it came from. Answers should come from Widgety data, not from the assistant's general knowledge. See [Troubleshooting](/connector/troubleshooting).
