# FAQ

> The questions travel agents ask us most.

## Getting started

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Do I need to be technical to use this?">
    No. Setup takes about five minutes and is mostly copy and paste ([step-by-step guide](/connector/quickstart)). After that, you just chat. No commands, no codes.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Where do I get an API key?">
    From your Widgety account manager. The key sets which cruise lines your agency can see and sell.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Which AI assistants work with Widgety?">
    Any assistant that supports remote MCP connectors. That includes Claude (web, desktop and Claude Code) and Microsoft Copilot Studio. See [Connect in 5 minutes](/connector/quickstart) for the details.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can my whole team use one key?">
    Yes, and that's normal for a Copilot setup. Everyone on that key sees the same cruise lines. If teams need different access, ask for a key each.
  </Accordion>

## Results and prices

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Why didn't I see every sailing?">
    A search returns up to **35 of the best matches**. Broad searches like "Caribbean 2027" can match hundreds.

    Narrow the brief by month, cruise line, departure port or duration, and you'll see what you're looking for.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="The assistant says a cruise line isn't available. Why?">
    Your API key only covers the cruise lines your agency is set up to sell.

    Ask "Which cruise lines can I sell?" to see your list. If something's missing, contact your account manager.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What currency are prices in?">
    GBP (£), per person. "From" prices are the lowest available fare for each cabin type.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Is a '10 day' cruise 10 nights?">
    No. The assistant quotes **nights**, as the UK trade does. A 9-night cruise spans 10 days, including disembarkation day.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I trust the prices?">
    They come from live inventory at the moment you ask. Fares change, so **always confirm price and availability with the cruise line before booking**.

    For an older quote, ask: "Is this quote still valid?"
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="A region search came back empty, but I know sailings exist">
    Try the specific name rather than the continent. River and specialist regions are named in their own right, so "Nile" finds Nile sailings where "Africa" may not.

    If you're unsure, ask "What regions can I search?"
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="The assistant quoted a fare that doesn't exist any more">
    Ask it to check again and say which sailing and cabin grade the figure belongs to. Answers should come from Widgety data, not the assistant's general knowledge, and retired fares sometimes come from the latter.

    Confirm with the cruise line before you quote, and tell us if it happens so we can tighten it up.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I search for expedition cruises?">
    Yes, but only some cruise lines label their sailings as "expedition" in their data.

    For lines that don't, search by **ship or cruise line name** instead, for example a named Silversea expedition ship.
  </Accordion>

## Privacy and security

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Does the AI assistant see my API key?">
    Not when you connect through the browser sign-in. You paste your key on a Widgety page, and it authorises the connection once.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Are my clients' details stored?">
    Only if you ask the assistant to remember a client. Say "Forget \[name]" to delete them at any time.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can Widgety see my conversations?">
    Widgety records which tools were used and the search terms, so we can support you and improve the service. We don't store your chat, and your API key is never stored in readable form.
  </Accordion>
